Position: Interior Install Tech I – 2nd Shift (GAC Appleton)
This is a full‑time, 2nd shift role working four 10‑hour shifts Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Overtime is available most weeks and may become mandatory based on business needs.
The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and 3‑D drawings, and proficiency with hand tools, drills, sanders, and grinders. Prior assembly or fabrication experience is highly desirable. All work must be inspected, signed off according to FAA specifications, and documented properly.
New hires will receive training from a Lead or Senior Technician. Mentoring will be provided by co‑workers as needed. Clear written and verbal communication in English is essential.
Responsibilities- Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors (galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and vanity ledge fill panels) in compliance with repair‑station procedures, FAA paperwork, and quality specifications.
- Use the material‑tracking system to generate parts demands, track squawks, and sign off paperwork.
- Follow SOPs when using tools and equipment such as hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes; properly maintain shop equipment and tools.
- Adhere to safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment as required; report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Support aircraft certification and final‑phase testing, including flight tests as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; applicable installation, fabrication, or trade‑school experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Comprehensive computer literacy.
- Physical capability to climb ladders and stairs, work in restricted areas, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Flexibility to work any shift.
