CNC Lathe Machinist - 1st Shift

Shift: 1st shift

Job Summary: This position is in the Lathe Department, and it involves moving from one machine to another as needed when workload shifts. The machines include2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns and Bar feeders. The individual in this role will perform a series of complex machine operations, including setup and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. This will involve conversational programming and performing first piece and in-process quality inspections.

The individual in this position will run different grades of material and perform multiple setups a day.

• High school diploma
• 3 to 5 years of CNC machining operation setup and programming experience preferred
• Experience performing multiple setups per day and running different grades of material
• Mazatrol conversational programming knowledge
• Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls
• Knowledge of metric blueprints along with GD&T preferred
• Knowledge of 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns and Bar Feeders preferred

• Ability to lift heavy weights, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and noise level
