Job DetailsThe College of Business and Economics (CoBE) at UW-Whitewater — Wisconsin’s largest business school— seeks an experienced Marketing Specialist to join its Marketing and Communications team.
This is a 12-month, full-time, on-campus position reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
The Marketing Specialist serves as an applied marketing practitioner and strategic contributor responsible for the development, execution, and measurement of multi‑channel marketing initiatives supporting enrollment, brand awareness, and institutional visibility. This role blends strategic thinking with hands‑on execution across digital, print, social, event, and paid media platforms.

Marketing Execution- Develops, implements, and disseminates marketing materials through various communication mediums utilizing appropriate technologies
- Manages multi-channel campaigns from concept through deployment, maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints
- Coordinates with vendors, designers, and agency partners to produce and place creative materials on time and within budget
- Supports event marketing and recruitment programming, including on- and off-campus visits, email campaigns, high school outreach, and signature college events
- Contributes to the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans based on research and established strategies
- Identifies opportunities to strengthen brand presence and campaign effectiveness across earned, owned, and paid channels
- Assists in planning and executing paid media campaigns including digital, programmatic, social, and out-of-home
- Collects, analyzes, prepares, summarizes, and disseminates data and trends relevant to ongoing or future marketing activities
- Prepares performance reports and contributes to campaign optimization based on data insights
- Monitors higher education marketing trends to support evidence‑based strategic decisions
- Supervises and mentors student marketing staff
- Collaborates with campus and college partners including Advising, Admissions, and college departments, centers, and institutes
- Serves on departmental and university committees as appropriate
- Performs additional duties as assigned

College of Business and Economics
CompensationWell-qualified candidates can expect a starting annual salary within a range of $52,000 – $62,000.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a closely related field, OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible marketing experience with demonstrated results across multiple channels
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content production
- Experience using marketing analytics to evaluate performance and guide decision‑making
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop content for varied audiences and purposes - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and independence
- Experience in higher education marketing, enrollment marketing, or a mission‑driven institutional environment
- Familiarity with paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Linked In, programmatic, Stack Adapt) and campaign management
- Experience supervising student workers or junior team members
- Knowledge of brand management principles and integrated marketing planning
- Experience with project
