The Marketing Content Creator/Producer role at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy is a unique opportunity to share the stories of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program and show prospective students why the School of Pharmacy is one of the nation’s best.

This position will serve as the lead visual storyteller and capture what it’s like to be a PharmD student and what makes UW–Madison the best choice for pharmacy school, highlighting PharmD student life, curriculum strengths, admissions guidance, and much more.

Tasks for the role include:

  • Conceptualizing, planning, filming, editing, and posting videos for School of Pharmacy Instagram, You Tube, and other marketing channels
  • Coordinating and collaborating with student content creators in pre- to post-production processes
  • Building a content calendar; managing timelines and deliverables
  • Monitoring performance of video posts using platform analytics data and optimizing future projects based on that data
  • Contributing to the development of other marketing team projects

The Marketing Content Creator/Producer is a full-time position under the direct supervision of the CMO/Associate Dean of Marketing & Communications in the School of Pharmacy. This role will collaborate with many stakeholders, including other members of the Marketing & Communications team, PharmD Admissions & Recruitment, PharmD Student Services, and agency partners. There will be occasional evening and weekend work required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and maintains strategic marketing plans based on research and established strategies
  • Develops, implements, and disseminates marketing materials through various communication mediums utilizing appropriate technologies and techniques
  • Collects, analyzes, prepares, summarizes, and disseminates data and trends relevant to ongoing or future marketing activities

Department: The Marketing & Communications team at the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy works on paid media to support the Doctor of Pharmacy enrollment goals, owned media to support Advancement goals, and earned media to protect and enhance the brand.

Compensation: Qualified candidates can expect to earn between $53,600 and $65,000 annually. Candidates who are highly qualified may earn between $65,000 and $70,000 annually.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in visual storytelling with videography, social media, and graphic design
  • Experience with writing, filming and editing short-form videos
  • Experience with You Tube and Instagram platforms and tools
  • Strong communications skills and ability to collaborate with others
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovative thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Google analytics and social media analytics
  • Experience working in team environments
  • At least six months of marketing or communications-related experience (such as relevant internships, part-time related work, or full-time employment in a marketing/communications role)

Education: Associates degree in related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
