The goal of the Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin VISTA Program is to build a better Wisconsin by assisting local organizations to increase the capacity and sustainability of programs focused on alleviating poverty. - VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT:
Increase Habitat’s community of volunteers, focusing on construction volunteers but coordinating with the ReStore VISTA as needed. Develop a recruitment plan, with specific strategies for recruiting Core Volunteers. Provide support as needed with scheduling. - VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT:
Foster a positive volunteer experience, increasing retention and community support for Habitat’s work and mission. Review training curriculum, volunteer appreciation, and data collection; make updates where needed. Develop a definition and guidelines for Core Volunteers.
BENEFITS: 30-hour work week; hybrid schedule; $400/month housing stipend.
