With passion, commitment, and hard work, our Ameri Corps VISTA members help organizations in bring individuals & communities out of poverty. Greater Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity is located in Appleton and started serving families through new home construction in 1993.
Since then, the organization has grown to include a Habitat for Humanity ReStore, the Almost Home program, home rehab, home repair and Rock the Block events. Habitat’s Deconstruction Program is part of their ReStore, which resells quality building materials, raising money to help more families and diverting waste from landfills. Since opening in 2005, the Habitat ReStore has returned nearly $1 million profits back to Habitat for Humanity in the Fox Cities area, which directly supports many local families in need of safe, decent, and affordable housing.
