The goal of the Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin VISTA Program is to build a better Wisconsin by assisting local organizations to increase the capacity and sustainability of programs focused on alleviating poverty. Member Duties : As the Home Repair VISTA, you will work with staff, volunteers, and other stakeholders to create a home repair program for Racine and Kenosha Counties, enabling the organization to serve more families. PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:
Research home repair needs in the area and connect with other Habitat affiliates to learn best practices. RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT:
Determine program needs – funds, volunteers, etc and develop and implement a plan to meet those needs. COMMUNITY OUTREACH & COMMUNICATION:
Develop a plan to connect with homeowners in need of repair services as well as build support for the program. BENEFITS INCLUDE: 30-hour work week and a hybrid schedule.
Program Benefits :30 hour/week, hybrid schedule,Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend,Living Allowance,Health Coverage*,Training,Education award upon successful completion of service,Relocation Allowance,Childcare assistance if eligible.
