Partnership Coordinator

The Partnership Coordinator plays a multifaceted organizing role across several projects including two NSF funded projects focused on capacity building for UVI in territory economic development via research collaborations, improving researcher collaborative activities via a profile/networking system being developed, and supporting UVI’s role in implementing capacity building for grants and partnerships through the Territory Agricultural Plan ( TAP ). All roles include project management and interfacing with UVI and community members, as well as developing and nurturing partnerships that enable successful completion of these objectives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field and Five (5) years of relevant experience.
Master’s degree in related field preferred and two (2) years of relevant experience

Physical Demands

Must be able to travel locally and occasionally to the mainland for meetings, conferences.
Must be self-motivated, take initiative.
Must have the ability to operate across disciplines and sectors (higher education and private sector)
Occasional extended work hours.
Work environment:
The noise level in the work environment will be moderate.

Advertised Job Duties

• Set up project planners and arrange meeting venues and logistics
• Assist in hosting events and support the planning and implementation of training (including grants training)
• Coordinate grant activities, proposal development, and related support
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure broad participation, awareness, and engagement of relevant people and organizations
• Act as a liaison to faculty, staff, students, and external partners for EPIIC , ARC , and TAP partnership initiatives, including updating and maintaining a website and communications related to the projects
• Support stakeholders and TAP Fellows program to build capacity and secure funding
• Assist stakeholders with finding, writing, editing, and organization of grant applications and proposals
• Maintain records of activities to track progress toward program objectives and assist with evaluation
• Advise and assist principal investigators/project directors in interpreting sponsor guidelines, forms, regulations, and policies related to proposals and budgets
• Assist with hosting visitors and partners related to TAP capacity-building efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
