Foundations Officer
The Foundations Officer contributes to the overall success of the foundation's fund development program through leadership to our critical access member foundations, hospitals, and communities. Serves as a major gifts officer, identifying, and qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors throughout Theda Care at the major gift level to support current operations, endowment, capital, and other priorities.

Schedule:
- Full time, benefit eligible
- 40 hrs/week
- Hybrid eligible role (minimum of 2 days in office)
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in fundraising
- Need to be comfortable with building strong relationships, understanding values and charitable interests, and being a dynamic communicator.
Key Accountabilities:
- Implements Theda Care Family of Foundations fund development strategies in partnership with assigned member foundations to support philanthropic goals and business priorities.
- Leads and manages assigned boards including facilitation of all board and sub-committee meetings, guiding funding decisions and providing governance oversight to promote long-term volunteer engagement.
- Demonstrates effective major gift management by cultivating, soliciting, closing, and stewarding a portfolio of leadership level donors and prospects that have the capacity to contribute at the $5,000+ level.
- Collaborates with multiple constituencies, both internally and externally, to effectively build relationships that garner philanthropic support for the Theda Care Family of Foundations.
- Plans, manages, and executes philanthropic events in partnership with foundation team members to advance constituent involvement, cultivation, and stewardship.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Four years of professional fundraising or relationship-building experience
Physical Demands:
- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
- Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
Work Environment:
- Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the facility
- Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers
