Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and medical care to students for injuries and illnesses occurring during school hours.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments, including vision, hearing, and growth assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized health care plans (IHPs) for students with specific medical needs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in compliance with school and legal requirements.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding students' health issues, treatments, and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with school staff to create and implement health education programs and promote a healthy school environment.
• Respond to health emergencies and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and school policies.

Requirements:

• Current and valid LVN/LPN license in practicing state
• Completion of an accredited LVN/LPN program.
• Experience in a pediatric or school setting preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required;
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
