Job Description
Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Physician and Center Manager/Assistant Manager as applicable. The specialist is responsible for donor eligibility, adverse event management, laboratory test review, and related tasks.
The position is essential to delivering quality plasma products and maintaining regulatory compliance in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

- Determine donor eligibility, including management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and SPE.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including coordinating donor transport to emergency facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER per EHS guidance.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate education in recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified in the state of assignment (LPN or LVN).
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Basic IV therapy competence per state requirements.
- Fulfills FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation and BenefitsU.S. hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44 (actual wage may vary by qualifications and experience).
