PositionTitle: Field Biologist
Location: Appleton, WI
You'll rely on your education, and we will ensure that you obtain your Applicators license within 30 days. Ongoing continuing education is provided, including an annual all-employee event to keep you informed and up to date.
Status and CompensationStatus: Full-Time – we will keep you busy during the season and use the winter downtime to sharpen skills.
Pay Range: $42,000–$45,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Position SummaryThe position requires a minimum of 40+ hours per week during the peak season. New Field Biologists will receive on-the-job training for needed skills and continuing education opportunities.
Responsibilities- Manage customers' aquatic resources through regularly scheduled seasonal visits.
- Engage in aquatic applications, water quality enhancement, aeration, etc.
- Conduct thorough data entry and processing, providing detailed information on aquatic management.
- Analyze customer needs and provide technical support for products sold; collaborate with industry partners to develop solutions for projects and requests.
- Possibly responsible for seasonal installation and removal of pond aeration equipment, as well as maintenance of fleet vehicles and application equipment.
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Biology, Water Resources, Fisheries-related study, or equivalent work experience.
- Well organized, highly motivated, and able to work well with a team of professionals.
- Possess a current driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive a combination truck/trailer (non-CDL) and operate motor vehicles for periods of time.
- Ability to work from small boats and be a strong swimmer.
- Need to obtain an Applicators License within 30 days of employment. Training materials will be provided to the successful new team member.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bend at waist and/or knees and lift arms above shoulder.
- Ability to work extended hours in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work from small boats and be a strong swimmer.
