Seasonal - Laborer - Facilities and Grounds

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Safely operates equipment such as truckswith trailers, riding mowers, utility carts, push mowers, string trimmers, etc.
• Lifts objects above shoulder height up to 50 pounds.
• Performs facility maintenance such as cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, scraping, painting and sanding.
• Performs vandalism removal on buildings, play equipment, and other areas.
• Performs grounds maintenance such as trash and litter pickup. Replace trash and recycling can liners. Planting/flower bed maintenance, weeding etc.
• Performs playground surface replacement and upkeep.
• Performs athletic field maintenance and operation of associated equipment. (Line Painters, Infield Groomers, etc.)

• Assists full-time staff with various projects.

• Ability to operate powered riding mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, utility carts, sand pros, pickup trucks hauling trailers.
• Ability to withstand a variety of temperature and weather extremes.
• Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
• Be able to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Ability to work irregular schedules based on project demand and weather.
• Must provide own steel-toed shoes.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least sixteen years of age.
