Your Impact as an Urgent Care Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Note: The Cred entailed Veterinary Technician title is used in various states based on state‑specific licensing and credentialing requirements. Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state’s Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable.

  • Be a Lifeline for Patients in Crisis:
    You'll be on the front lines, utilizing your full skillset in triage, stabilization, patient monitoring, and critical care under veterinarian supervision.
  • Provide Clarity in Critical Moments:
    You'll be a vital and calming link for pet owners, clearly explaining treatments, reviewing discharge instructions, and providing reassurance during stressful times.
  • Lead and Elevate Your Team:
    In a fast‑paced setting, you'll guide and support your colleagues, ensuring a smooth workflow and fostering a focused, collaborative atmosphere.
  • Ensure Seamless Care:
    Your clear and accurate record‑keeping in a fast‑paced environment will be crucial for patient handoffs, case management, and effective team communication.
What You'll Bring To The Team
  • A calm, efficient, and decisive approach, especially during medical emergencies.
  • Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in a range of technical skills, with a strong aptitude for emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing.
  • Confidence in handling animals of all temperaments and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure.
  • One year of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus!
