Position Overview:

Doggy Day Camp Counselor

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Doggy Day Camp Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional care and supervision to dogs participating in our day camp and overnight lodging services. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. If you’re enthusiastic about working with dogs and creating memorable experiences for pets and their owners, we want to hear from you!

Primary Shift

Hours:

12pm-8:30pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and engage with dogs in our day camp facility, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Lead group play sessions and organize activities to provide physical and mental stimulation.
  • Provide individualized attention and care based on each dog’s unique needs and preferences.
  • Monitor dog behavior, intervening as necessary to prevent conflicts and ensure positive interactions.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including regular cleaning and disinfection of play areas and equipment.
  • Assist with feeding, administering medication, and other basic care tasks as required.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pets’ activities and behavior.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to uphold high standards of care and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting, such as a dog daycare, kennel, or veterinary clinic, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dog behavior, body language, and basic training techniques.
  • Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments with confidence and compassion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners and team members.
  • Reliable, responsible, and punctual, with a genuine passion for working with animals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
