Lead Recreation Assistant; Outdoor Recreation) NF

This position is located at Fort McCoy Pine View Campground is a large full-service campground that includes over 170 campsites and 17 cabins. A well-stocked camp store provides essentials, and a wide range of activities are available to guests.

• As a Lead Recreation Assistant, works under the supervision of the Recreation Specialist (Program Manager). Serves as shift manager during absence of Recreation Specialist (Program Manager).
• Leads staff and reviews work assignments. Trains and provides guidance to lower graded employees.
• Serves as a recreation assistant within area of responsibility. Instructs customers on proper user of equipment and programs. Issues/receives equipment, collects fees, accounts for monies, safeguards funds and makes daily deposits.
• Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR215-3, para.
  2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Driver's license required if operating a government vehicles to include ATVs/UTVs.
• Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors, exposure to inclement weather, heat, cold and dirty conditions.
• Business operations are seven days per week. Schedule will be based on the needs of the activity. Nights, weekends, and holidays are required.
