Based within Wellington Shire Council’s Culture and Lei surebusiness unit, this casual role provides an opportunity to help deliver safe,welcoming and professional aquatic services across Aqua Energy and Wellington Shire rural pools.

Are you a qualified and customer-focused lifeguard who canremain alert, communicate clearly and respond confidently to safety issues and emergencies? We are seeking a Customer Service Officer (Lifeguard) to join ourcasual aquatic team.

As part of the Aqua Energy team, you will supervise patron sand user groups, manage aquatic risk, maintain water quality and provide professional customer service. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues and support trainees and new staff when required.

• Actively supervise patrons and user groups and enforce pool rules when required.
• Manage aquatic risk and help provide a safe environment for swimmers.
• Testpool water quality in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.
• Operate,set up, pack up, care for and store pool equipment correctly.
• Respond promptly and confidently to emergencies, medical incidents and safety concerns.
• Provide professional customer service to patrons, user groups, members, schools and colleagues.
• Support trainees and new staff and explain relevant procedures when required.

• Acurrent Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Current Level 2 First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation qualifications.
• Acurrent Working with Children Check.
• Strong communication, customer service and public relations skills.
• The ability to manage time, set priorities and work confidently with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of pool supervision, aquatic risk, pool equipment and water chemistry requirements.

• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate, Level 2 First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation qualifications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pool supervision, aquatic risk, pool equipment and water chemistry requirements.
• Strong communication, customer service and public relations skills.
• Abilityto remain alert and respond confidently to emergencies, medical incidents andsafety concerns.
• Abilityto manage time, set priorities and work independently under general supervision.
• Abilityto work collaboratively and support trainees and new staff when required.
