Position: Inspector A&P - Multiple Shifts

Job Title

Inspector A&P – Multiple Shifts (GAC Appleton)

Position Purpose

Performs inspections of aircraft, aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensure workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality, and that aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation properly completed and filed. Works as an integral part of the Quality Control/Assurance team, ensuring aircraft/components are in compliance with FAA/CAA requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control inspections on aircraft and components.
  • Inspect aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved data.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements during maintenance or outfitting.
  • Keep accurate, neat, and legible records of work performed on aircraft/components.
  • Coordinate with the repair station (RTS) to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced on time.
  • Conduct audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service.
  • Ensure aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flight activities.
  • Mentor technicians on effective documentation.
  • Communicate with management to identify work assignments and delivery schedules.
  • Provide technical support to inspection personnel in supporting FAA and/or CAA documented requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 6 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical).
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics, and QC procedures.
  • Working knowledge and application of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control systems and methodologies.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Experience inspecting parts, assembly, and installation conformity in a repair station environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
