Our client, a well-established food manufacturing organization, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support daily quality assurance operations within a fast-paced production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products consistently meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and food safety requirements through inspection, testing, documentation, and process monitoring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform quality inspections and standardized testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Conduct sensory evaluations, including flavor, appearance, texture, color, and consistency assessments as required.
- Collect retention, microbiological, environmental, and production samples according to established procedures.
- Prepare laboratory documentation and sample submissions for outside testing facilities.
- Verify product labels and packaging prior to production runs to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Monitor metal detection equipment and promptly report any operational concerns.
- Place materials or finished products on quality hold when necessary and assist with investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, production records, and testing results.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation requirements, food safety standards, and quality programs.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate on cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Perform additional quality assurance responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or coursework in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred.
- One to three years of quality control, laboratory, food manufacturing, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
- Understanding of food safety programs, GMPs, sanitation procedures, and quality systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GFSI, or similar food safety programs.
- Laboratory testing or microbiological sampling experience.
- Continuous improvement or root cause analysis experience.
