Our client, a well-established food manufacturing organization, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support daily quality assurance operations within a fast-paced production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products consistently meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and food safety requirements through inspection, testing, documentation, and process monitoring.

• Perform quality inspections and standardized testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Conduct sensory evaluations, including flavor, appearance, texture, color, and consistency assessments as required.
• Collect retention, microbiological, environmental, and production samples according to established procedures.
• Prepare laboratory documentation and sample submissions for outside testing facilities.
• Verify product labels and packaging prior to production runs to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Monitor metal detection equipment and promptly report any operational concerns.
• Place materials or finished products on quality hold when necessary and assist with investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation, production records, and testing results.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation requirements, food safety standards, and quality programs.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate on cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Perform additional quality assurance responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred.
• One to three years of quality control, laboratory, food manufacturing, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Understanding of food safety programs, GMPs, sanitation procedures, and quality systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GFSI, or similar food safety programs.
• Laboratory testing or microbiological sampling experience.
• Continuous improvement or root cause analysis experience.
