Sous Chef

Pay: $25-$30 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday | Off Monday and Tuesday

Pickle Factory is seeking an experienced, dependable Sous Chef to support kitchen operations and help lead the culinary team. This role is ideal for a hands-on kitchen leader who can maintain food quality, keep service organized, and support the Chef with day-to-day execution.

• Assist with leading daily kitchen operations and supervising the culinary team
• Support food preparation, line execution, plating, and quality control
• Ensure all dishes meet established standards for taste, consistency, portioning, and presentation
• Help train, coach, and hold kitchen team members accountable
• Maintain organized, clean, and properly stocked workstations
• Monitor ticket times and step in wherever needed during service
• Assist with ordering, inventory, receiving, and product rotation
• Help control food waste, labor, and kitchen costs
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and storage standards
• Serve as a leader in the kitchen when the Chef is unavailable

• Previous Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Lead Line Cook, or similar leadership experience
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of professional kitchen operations
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, punctual, and available to work Wednesday through Sunday
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
