Float teacher​/Cook

About This Role

We are looking for someone who is available daily from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to work as assistant teacher and center cook. You will float between our preschool classrooms offering support where needed until about 11:00 a.m.. From 11:00-1:00 you will prepare and clean up lunch for about 40 students and staff. We have the menu and recipes and can train the right person in preparation and cleanup procedures.

• Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
• Apportion and serve food to students.
• Cook foodstuffs according to menus, or numbers of portions to be served.
• Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment.
• Serve food or beverages.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
• Cook foods.
• Cut cooked or raw foods.
• Prepare foods for cooking or serving.
• Clean tableware

• Complete and document at least 4 hours of training in kitchen sanitation, food handling, and nutrition initally, and one hour of training in kitchen sanitation, food handling, and nutrition annually thereafter. (as required by WI DCF)
• able to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m.
