- Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to established menus and portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and serving areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Provide courteous and helpful service to students, staff, and visitors during meal times.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Capability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in a food service or cafeteria environment is a plus, but will train.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Manual dexterity is used extensively when handling food, operating kitchen tools, and serving meals efficiently.
