Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores is a national retailer primarily focused on selling home appliances, hardware, tools and lawn and garden equipment. We operate through two segments - the Sears Hometown and Hardware segment and the Sears Outlet segment.

• Responsible for selling to and assisting customers, spending 70-80% of the time interacting with, and selling to customers.
• Trains new Associates and supervises the store in the absence of a salaried Manager.
• Acts as a role model for the Code of Business Conduct and holds others accountable for business practices.
• Works to personally achieve Company standards for Sales productivity.
• Spends time on the sales floor facilitating the sales process.
• Follows the Company process for selling and Creating Customer Enthusiasm (CCE), and coaches other Sales Associates to use the process.
• Follows the Company process for selling metrics, including Protection Agreements and soliciting credit applications, and sets an example by achieving personal goals.
• Supervises hourly Associates when a salaried Manager is absent.
• Acts as a key carrier, following all policies and procedures, including asset protection standards, and opens and closes the store regularly.
• Partners with and helps new Sales Associates as part of the training experience.
• Ensures proper procedures at the point of sale.
• Ensures a positive experience for every customer as measured by store surveys and mystery shops.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Company ethics policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent GED minimum.
• 1-2 years retail sales experience.
• Strong drive for results.
• Customer service skills.
• Selling skills.
• Product knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of store and retail operations preferred.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
