Retail District Manager

Job Overview

Lead a team of Retail Coverage Merchandisers and Lead Merchandisers across specified territories or stores. Represent Premium Retail Services, ensuring superior in‑store results and effective supervision of RCM work.

• Provide leadership and management to the RCM/Lead Merchandiser team, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, conflict resolution, and coaching.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of company business model, client and customer expectations, and business processes.
• Spend at least 50% of time working in‑store to gain business and project insight.
• Manage assigned work to completion on time and with high quality, reviewing schedules and documentation for accuracy.
• Assign work to the team, monitor progress, audit work, answer questions, solve problems, resolve personnel issues, and adjust resources as needed.
• Understand and optimize selling effectiveness in assigned territories, identifying training needs, system improvements, and balancing store set/surge work with retail coverage.
• Partner with store personnel and team to achieve merchandising excellence, proactively alerting management to unsafe acts or conditions.
• Ensure company policies are followed by direct reports, including maintenance of equipment, expense reporting, and activity reporting.
• Communicate retail territory responsibilities to the MEI admin team, use MEI and other technology accurately, and maintain effective feedback and measurement systems.
• Meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of management/supervisory experience in retail or related industry.
• Prior sales, retail, customer service, or reset responsibility required.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision‑making, and leadership skills; effective communication with others.
• Self‑starter with strong attention to detail.
• Quick learner and flexible to changing work environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to drive a car for extended periods.
