Position Overview
The Business Technology Services team helps organizations turn technology into a strategic advantage. As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), your primary responsibility is to identify, qualify, and advance inbound and outbound sales opportunities. You serve as the first point of contact for prospective customers and build a healthy, accurate sales pipeline by ensuring timely follow‑up, strong qualification, and high‑quality handoff to Sales Executives or Business Development leaders.
Responsibilities- Respond promptly to inbound leads from marketing campaigns, webinars, live events, website inquiries, and partner referrals.
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social channels to targeted accounts.
- Qualify leads using defined criteria such as business need, timing, budget, and authority.
- Identify customer challenges and align them to appropriate solutions at a high level.
- Schedule discovery calls, product demonstrations, and follow‑up meetings for Account Executives or Sales Leaders.
- Maintain accurate lead and activity data within Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ensuring pipeline integrity and visibility.
- Update lead status, last sales activity date, and next steps consistently.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Practice Leaders to align on target accounts and messaging.
- Coordinate follow‑up actions after events, demos, and campaigns.
- Support publisher or partner registration processes when applicable.
- Meet or exceed activity‑based KPIs such as calls, emails, conversations, meetings set, and qualified leads.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of outreach scripts, templates, and qualification processes.
- Maintain a professional, customer‑focused approach that reflects the organization’s brand and values.
- 2‑4+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer success, or a related role.
- Proven ability to manage lead qualification and outreach for multiple solutions or offerings simultaneously, adapting messaging and discovery conversations to different buyer needs and industries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and persistence in a target‑driven environment.
- Comfort with phone‑based and virtual outreach.
- Ability to quickly understand business problems and articulate value.
- Ability to handle high‑volume outreach and manage multiple prospects simultaneously.
- Experience working with CRM systems (Dynamics, Salesforce, Hub Spot, or similar preferred).
- Experience in B2B sales, professional services, or technology solutions.
- Familiarity with structured sales qualification methodologies.
- Understanding of ERP, CRM, cloud, or business software ecosystems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, metrics‑driven environment.
