Sales Representative, Sales Development Rep/SDR, Industrial Sales, Sales Engineer
Provides superior customer service ensuring the accurate and timely conversion of request for quote to sales order capture. Works collaboratively with the outside sales team to drive sales and profit.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:- Drives on-time, accurate and complete (OTAC) throughout the selling process from request for quote (RFQ) to sales order capture.
- Supports the outside sales team in crafting and delivering quotes per the customers’ specifications.
- Sources new sales opportunities through research and follow-up on leads. Closes quotes by successfully soliciting sales orders from the customer.
- Collaborates with and acts as a liaison between engineering, finance, operations and other key departments and the customer during the sales process.
- Works on their own, or with the Sales Order Specialist, to enter sales orders quickly and accurately.
- Maintains the integrity of the quote log by consistently updating each quote with the latest information.
- Encourages the Voice of Customer (VOC) to uncover new product development opportunities.
- Updates customers on quote status, including expiration dates and/or price changes.
- Requests and processes project re-quotes based on customer’s input.
- Participates in continuous improvement projects to improve the quoting and sales order entry processes.
- Works to develop large direct-to-end user key accounts
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task while paying close attention to detail.
- Current, valid Driver’s License.
- Competent in key workplace tools such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce and ERP systems.
- Ability to travel
- Physical requirements include; twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of sitting and standing, and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
