About the Role:
The AMVAC Territory Sale Representative (TSR) for CROP in the Northern Illinois / Wisconsin plays a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding market presence within the agricultural manufacturing sector. This position is responsible for managing and developing relationships with key customers, including distributors, retailers, and end-users, to promote and sell crop-related products. The representative will analyze market trends and customer needs to tailor sales strategies that maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
Collaboration with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer service is essential to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. Ultimately, this role aims to achieve sales targets while fostering long-term partnerships that contribute to the company’s sustained success in the territory.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the agricultural or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of crop production processes and agricultural products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with crop protection products, seeds, or agricultural equipment.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a similar role.
- Knowledge of regional agricultural markets and regulatory environments.
- Advanced training or certification in sales or agronomy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Identify and engage potential customers, building strong relationships to understand their crop production needs and challenges.
- Provide expert product knowledge and technical support to customers, ensuring they receive tailored solutions that enhance crop yield and quality.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate marketing campaigns, product launches, and customer service efforts.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to internal management and customers.
- Manage the sales pipeline effectively, maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using CRM tools.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and training sessions to stay current on product developments and industry best practices.
