- 5+ years of successful sales experience, ideally in new market development
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand market dynamics and customer needs
- 2+ years of industrial hydraulic fluid power sales experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Epicor (or other ERP System), SharePoint and Microsoft 365 suite is a plus.
- Proven sales acumen with a track record of generating revenue in new markets
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Confidence presenting both in-person and virtually
- Technological proficiency, especially with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends
- High accountability, urgency, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to mentor less-tenured team members and share industry knowledge
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to travel extensively and perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Extensive knowledge of OEM hose, hydraulics, or related manufacturing industries
- Bachelor's degree in sales management, marketing, or related field (5+ years of relevant sales experience may substitute for formal education)
You will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Expect to spend about 80% of your time traveling to customers and Value Added Company facilities throughout Northeast/Central Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
Each day, you will be out in the field, driving sales growth through direct, in-person interactions with both new and existing customers. You will represent Transmotion's vision, mission, and values as you proactively generate leads, build a strong sales pipeline, and pursue new business opportunities through calls, emails, and meetings. Your focus will be on understanding client needs and presenting tailored solutions, while building and maintaining long‑lasting relationships with engineering, purchasing, and operations contacts.
You'll use your product knowledge to deliver compelling presentations, negotiate pricing and terms, and close profitable deals. Supporting existing customers and ensuring a consistent, positive experience will be a constant. You will use sales enablement tools to maximize your efficiency, collaborate with internal teams, and analyze performance trends. Your role will also require you to adapt quickly to changes in the market, customer demands, and supply chain challenges, while meeting or exceeding ambitious quotas.
