Kerber Rose HR is partnering with a well-established, family-owned Wisconsin equipment dealer to identify an Outside Sales Representative to join its team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys getting out into the market, building connections, developing new business, and helping customers identify the right equipment solutions for their needs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable managing the full sales process from prospecting through close.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and direct customer outreach.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Manage the full sales process from initial prospecting and needs discovery through product recommendation and close.
- Meet with customers to understand their operations, challenges, and equipment needs.
- Recommend tailored equipment solutions based on customer needs and applications.
- Sell new and used equipment while providing a high level of consultative service.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospective customers and sales opportunities.
- Work toward established sales goals and contribute to continued business growth.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and opportunities.
- Provide responsive follow-up and exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
- Stay informed on equipment offerings, market trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure a strong overall customer experience.
- Previous sales experience, ideally in outside sales, equipment sales, agriculture, construction, industrial products, or another relationship-driven environment.
- Proven ability to build relationships and develop new business.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.
- Strong customer service mindset and a genuine interest in understanding customer needs.
- Ability to learn equipment products and confidently recommend solutions.
- Organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities and priorities.
- Knowledge of agricultural, construction, landscaping, or related equipment is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in sales, business, or a related field.
