Senior Environmental Consultant

Job Title

Your role ential Responsibilities & Duties The ideal candidate for this position will:

• Support the development of new and existing clients and markets while cross-selling GEI's other core business areas to facilitate growth of GEI's northeast Wisconsin offices.
• Maintain high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact.
• Participate in client-based professional organizations and present at industry events.
• Manage projects and tasks that support clients in the region with investigation and remediation of environmental conditions, environmental due diligence, environmental compliance and permitting.
• Lead and work on a variety of environmental projects throughout the Midwest.
• Prepare project correspondence, data reports, and work plans for internal and client review.
• Mentor and train staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. in Environmental Engineering or Geology;
  Masters preferred.
• Experience with environmental permitting and compliance, focusing on federal and state environmental regulations is preferred. Experience with Wisconsin's Spill Law and Michigan Part 201 and Part 213 risk-based assessment and closure are a plus.
• Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist, and/or Certified Hydrogeologist is preferred.
• 12+ years relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgement, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
• Seller-doer with strong regional connections and an entrepreneurial spirit.
