Description

Demonstrates exceptional knowledge of facility electrical systems, including main service infrastructure and supporting service systems, and holds certification in the National Electrical Code (NEC). Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and reliability of power distribution systems, with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective repair solutions. Applies strong technical expertise and repair techniques while proactively identifying areas of energy waste and recommending logical, cost-effective improvements.

Collaborates closely with department leaders to address and resolve power and lighting needs.

Up to $35/hr based on experience

Job Summary
  • Maintaining the highest possible safety standards, especially during installation practices and equipment repair operations.
  • Using a wide variety of testing equipment including digital and analog volt, ohm, ammeters; gauss meter; and infrared scanning equipment.
  • Continuously researching industry standards to maintain highest efficiency of lighting and power systems.
  • Communicating possible problems with local utilities, such as scheduled power outages and rolling blackouts.
  • Familiarity with vendors available to supply inventory or emergency service when needed.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate records and files of maintenance procedures.
  • Working with Facility Planning on in-house projects.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge and ability to apply NEC rules to all electrical work done at Lands' End by maintenance personnel.
  • Continual education to maintain NEC certification.
  • Minimum of Journeyman level or equivalent (5 years) of commercial and industrial electrical experience.
  • Expert knowledge in the use of test equipment (listed above) along with good computer skills, including research, testing, and Internet.
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust to changing schedules.
  • Ability to provide updated information and training procedures to maintenance personnel.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Certification to operate forklifts and all Lands' End motorized vehicles.
