Position:
Dragline Operator

We are looking for a Dragline Operator to work as part of mining operations producing aggregate and construction materials.

Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner.
  • Manage levers controlling dragline excavation.
  • Understand dragline's structural, mechanical, and electrical components and capabilities.
  • Communicate plant site issues with the Foreman and Mine Management while performing daily inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work site including shoveling and skid steer operation cleanup.
  • Assist in plant maintenance and repairs (labor work, cutting, fabricating, welding).
  • Follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting.
  • Operate loaders, haul trucks, skid steer loaders, water trucks, graders, man lifts, dozers, and excavators as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
  • Mechanical/fabricating and repair experience (preferred).
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work varied hours early mornings and weekends as needed.
  • Tolerance for variable weather and dirty, dusty environments.
  • Member of the appropriate trade union or willingness to become one (union membership not required prior to employment).
