Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of HVAC automation systems, including detailed troubleshooting.

Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on‑site customer interface.

Mentor mechanical technicians on building automation activities and provide training to customers on electronic control systems.

Complete required project and service documentation, including certificates of completion, training forms, punch lists, and change sketches for engineering corrections.

Diagnose and repair complex electronic control system malfunctions, test and modify software in multiple programming languages.

Communicate with customers about service details, recommend system enhancements, and promote add‑on work.

Manage assigned work to meet professional execution standards, time, and customer satisfaction.

Report problems or changes to management immediately and coordinate activities with branch manager, service manager, service project manager, or subcontractors.

Adhere to Johnson Controls and customer safety standards and provide safety awareness on work sites.

Required

• General knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques.
• Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and other contacts ethically and professionally.

Preferred

• Vocational school, four‑year program, or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field PLUS three years of industry experience.
• Five years of experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non‑technical people.
• Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non‑complex, non‑critical building automation equipment.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC related software.

Hourly rate: $23.56 – $34.50, based on education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data. Competitive benefits package included.
