Concrete Finisher

Overview

Walbec Group produces high-quality construction materials and delivers professional design, engineering and construction services across its six companies.

• Assist the Foreman in the safe placement of concrete and final finishing of concrete surfaces.
• Smooth, level, and finish concrete sections using blades, vibrators, and other tools.
• Prepare, set, and remove wood or plastic forms for structural and finish concrete elements.
• Fill roadways, driveways, sidewalks, bridges, and parking lots.
• Create concrete beams, columns, panels, and finish corners by hand.
• Use crane hand signals and other safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Foreman or management.
• Lift and carry up to 75 lbs unassisted and shoot grades when required.

• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record;
  Class A CDL strongly desired.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Prior construction experience preferred.
• Punctual and dependable with flexibility for varied hours, nights, early mornings, weekends, and variable weather conditions.
• Ability to work in dirty, dusty, and confined environments.
• Union membership required or willingness to become a union member; membership not required prior to hire.
