HVAC & Utility Systems Maintenance

Location:

Onsite – Kohler, WI

Competitive Compensation: $33.77 per hour, plus $1.50 shift premium.

Shift: 3DC, 4 on 4 off.

Hours:

6:12 PM – 6:24 AM.

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot and repair plant utility systems.
• Perform operations in accordance with specified guidelines and instructions while exercising safety for oneself and others.
• Maintain all major utility equipment including boilers, air compressors/dryers, chillers, fans, pumps, wells, cooling towers, fire suppression equipment, and distribution systems for steam, condensate, compressed air, chilled water, cooling towers, water chemistry/purification, potable water, process wastewater, natural gas, propane, and fire systems.
• Operate, inspect and maintain all fire protection systems including sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, hoses, hydrants, and other firefighting equipment in accordance with guidelines and procedures, including response to fire alarms.
• Be knowledgeable in HVAC systems including air handlers, rooftop units, and makeup air units and associated controls.
• Know lubricants, packing/seals, bearings, couplings, gear reducers, measurement equipment, fasteners, and rigging.
• Interpret and understand mechanical and electrical prints and P&.
• Use a wide variety of equipment and tools proficiently.
• Use Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.
• Maintain technical competence through training courses, on‑job training, and vendor schools.

• Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.
• Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred:
  Associate degree in HVAC Systems Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Electro‑Mechanical, or enrollment in an accredited program toward the degree.
• Preferred:
  Must hold or be able to acquire a valid Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate within 18 months.
• Must be an active participant in the Kohler Company Fire Brigade, responding to plant fires.
• Physical capability: ability to perform essential duties, including bending, lifting, and pushing weight.
• Screening:
  Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
• Reliability:
  Consistent attendance and work performance.
