Maintenance Plumber
Location:
Onsite – Kohler, WI
Compensation: $27.83 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:30 AM – 2:48 PM
We are looking for a talented maintenance plumber/pipefitter to join our team at the Kohler, Wisconsin location.
Responsibilities- Perform plumbing and pipe fitting tasks including drain blocks, fixture replacement or repair, pipe replacement, pipe fitting project work to customer requests and expectations, and utility pipe replacement or repair (water, compressed air, gas, etc.).
- Install and maintain plumbing fixtures.
- Repair radiators, unit heaters, heat exchangers, and oil coolers.
- Install and repair downspouts and drains.
- Work from drawings, diagrams, and specifications; cut, thread, form, and install piping, fixtures, valves, gauges, meters, etc. in accordance with requirements and standard practices.
- Perform miscellaneous welding as required, excluding pressure vessel or structural steel welding.
- Bore holes through cement, wood, sheet‑metal walls, floors, roofs, etc., using tools such as core drill, hammer drill, and others.
- Make and install brackets and hangers as necessary to support pipe; use hand saw, rollers, and other metal‑forming tools.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.
- Complete tasks within skill assessments while exercising safety for oneself and others.
- Operate in a heavy industrial environment that may involve exposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt, coolants, oils, noise, heights, and confined spaces.
- Obtain or maintain a Cross Connection testing certificate.
- Participate as an active member of the Kohler Company Fire Brigade, responding to plant fires.
- Must be able to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
- Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and adhere to Kohler Company’s MVR guidelines.
- Must pass a written technical skills knowledge evaluation and the STM (Standard Model Timing) assessment.
- Must provide own tools.
- Physical capability to perform essential duties, including bending, lifting, and moving weight.
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
- Consistent attendance and reliable work performance.
- Compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
