• Assist Journeymen in performing maintenance on dam structures and Tainter gates
• Assist in maintaining and rebuilding hydroelectric generation machinery and associated auxiliary equipment
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems
• Weld, solder, cut, and heat as required
• Maintain housekeeping standards throughout CWPCo owned facilities
• Performs all other duties as assigned by supervision

• Must successfully complete State Indentured Millwright Apprenticeship Program with classroom and on-the-job related instruction.
• Work in confined places
• Do a considerable amount of bending, stooping, reaching, turning and twisting.
• Climb and work in high places.
• Work with hazardous materials.
• Work in extreme temperatures.
• Follow all safety policies and requirements.
• Learn and know how to use welding, heating, and cutting tools and equipment.
• Learn blueprint reading and schematic diagrams.
• Be able to work overtime, Sundays, and holidays as required.
• Respond to call ins as requested.
• Must work in substations with qualified personnel.
• Comply with company respirator policy.
• Be able to effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
• Learn the use of CMMS programs

• Be able to lift 50‑100 lbs. regularly.
• Have a valid Wisconsin driver's license and be able to drive.
• Possess ambulatory capabilities to move freely about the sites in carrying out responsibilities.
• Preference may be given to candidates with applicable experience in the maintenance of dam structures, dam auxiliaries and hydro generating units.
