Entry Level Equipment Operator - Excavation

Overview

CAREER OPPORTUNITY: ENTRY LEVEL EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - EXCAVATION
FOX VALLEY, WISCONSIN

• Operate and maintain various types of grading and excavation equipment on job sites with a focus on safety.
• Work around jobsite traffic and hazards such as electrical or gas lines; haul equipment or materials to work locations.
• Communicate effectively and work as part of a team to meet project specifications.
• Assist with manual labor, traffic control, and interacting with customers or the general public; respond to inquiries and solve problems as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulations on all job sites and in varying weather conditions.
• Cross-train on other duties or tasks as assigned (e.g., assisting on asphalt prep crews); on-the-job training provided to help acclimate to company policies and procedures.

• Equipment operation experience and knowledge in site preparation and excavation preferred
• Verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow and convey clear instructions
• Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to assess hazards and work safely to prevent accidents and injuries
• Class A CDL with tanker endorsement preferred
• Mechanical capabilities preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent, with understanding of basic math preferred
