Finish Strong. Build a Reputation That Lasts.
Spencer Concrete is hiring a full-time Skilled Concrete Finisher in Appleton, WI to bring the craftsmanship that defines our reputation. The final finish tells the whole story — the smooth edge, the clean broom line, the perfect stamp pattern. That's where you come in. From driveways and patios to slabs and decorative work, your hands shape the concrete that homeowners and builders see every day for the next 50+ years.
We're looking for someone enthusiastic, trustworthy, and forward-moving — a finisher who takes ownership of the work, respects the craft, and wants to grow with a tight crew that shows up for each other. If you take pride in a clean trowel pass and refuse to settle for “good enough,” you'll fit right in here.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand and power tools
- Apply curing and sealing compounds to protect surfaces
- Create textures and patterns — broom, trowel, stamped, exposed aggregate, and more
- Set forms and ensure proper grading and drainage
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the crew to hit project timelines
- Maintain tools and finishing equipment in top condition
- Follow safety procedures and keep job sites clean and organized
- 2+ years of concrete finishing experience (flatwork or decorative)
- Strong understanding of concrete behavior, timing, and weather impact
- Skilled in both smooth and textured finishes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Willingness to work long days during peak season
- Safety-first mindset on every pour
- CDL is a plus, but not required
- $25–$35/hr based on experience and finishing skill level
- Weekly pay
- Full-time, year-round employment — no seasonal layoffs
- Retirement plan options
- Consistent workload and well-planned job sites
- Real career growth into Lead Finisher, Stamped Specialist, or Foreman roles
- The right tools, good crews, and respect for skilled hands
