Facilities Maintenance Technician, Kohler Hospitality

To provide basic facilities maintenance and preventative maintenance inspection as required to assure the functional reliability of patron facilities and optimum performance of the hospitality & real estate group properties. Must demonstrate proficiency in technical skills such as carpentry, mechanical work, flooring, painting, electrical, pools, HVAC, drywall, and others, and exhibit good interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
Specific Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and service for specified equipment, machinery, and systems throughout the group facilities.
- Perform simple repairs to buildings or equipment at group facilities as requested through work orders; provide assistance to more experienced technicians for complex inspections or repairs when more than one person is required.
- Monitor assigned external areas of the group facilities for safe and functional use by patrons.
- Participate in training programs to develop skills, knowledge, and background related to group facilities.
- Maintain accurate preventative maintenance inspection reports, work schedules, backlog, and completed work order reports.
- Recommend ordering of maintenance spare parts and materials for repairs and/or inventory.
- Maintain storage areas in an orderly manner in compliance with all building fire and safety codes.
- Communicate regularly via electronic and verbal channels to pass along information to the next shift and/or maintenance department for follow‑up and awareness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate.
- Carpentry training/experience required.
- Additional technical training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, tiling, pools, and/or plumbing preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a skilled trade position.
- Must be a motivated tradesperson capable of working independently with little supervision.
- Weekend availability required.
This is a full‑time position. Shifts vary from 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm on weekdays and weekends.
The hourly range for this position is $18.30 – $27.50. The specific hourly rate offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate education and work location.
