HVAC & Utility Systems Maintenance Location and Compensation

Location:

Onsite – Kohler, WI
Competitive Compensation: $3 3.77 per hour, plus $1.50 shift premium

Shift: 3DC, 4 on 4 off

Hours:

6:12PM – 6:24AM

Responsibilities
  • Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plant utility systems.
  • Perform all operations in accordance with specified guidelines and instructions, exercising safety for oneself and others.
  • Maintain all major utility equipment including boilers, air compressors/dryers, chillers, fans, pumps, wells, cooling towers, and fire suppression equipment; maintain distribution systems for steam, condensate, compressed air, chilled water, cooling towers, water chemistry/purification, potable water, process wastewater, natural gas, propane, and fire systems.
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems including air handlers, rooftop units, and make‑up air units and associated controls.
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain all fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, hydrants, and other firefighting equipment, in accordance with specified guidelines and procedures, including response to fire alarms.
  • Apply lubricants, packing/seals, bearings, couplings, gear reducers, measurement equipment, fasteners, and rigging.
  • Interpret and understand mechanical and electrical prints as well as P&.
  • Proficiently utilize a wide variety of equipment and tools.
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.
  • Maintain technical competence through frequent training courses, on‑job training, and vendor schools.

Skills and Requirements
  • Must be able to work in the United States without legal restriction or sponsorship.
  • Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Electro‑Mechanical, or enrollment in an accredited program toward that degree.
  • Valid Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate within 18 months, or ability to acquire one.
  • Active participant in the Kohler Company Fire Brigade, responding to plant fires.
