Painting Foreman

The Painting Foreman oversees and performs painting projects for industrial and commercial clients within a 40-mile radius of The Valley. This role focuses primarily on interior wall painting, with some exterior work, using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to apply a variety of coatings on new construction and existing facilities. The Painting Foreman works hands-on alongside the crew to deliver high-quality finishes while meeting project deadlines and safety expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform interior and exterior painting for industrial and commercial projects, primarily on interior walls but also on building exteriors as needed.
  • Use brushes, rollers, and spray guns, including HVLP airless sprayers, to apply paint and coatings according to project specifications.
  • Cut in clean, straight lines without using tape to ensure professional-quality finishes.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain HVLP airless sprayers and other painting tools provided on site.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by ensuring they are clean, dry, and ready to receive coatings.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of painters on job sites, adjusting to crew sizes that vary by project.
  • Follow project timelines and adhere to deadlines to ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
  • Travel from home to assigned job sites within approximately 40 miles, without overnight stays.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for equipment and materials.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and site rules while working in vacant industrial and commercial facilities.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of experience in commercial, industrial, or residential painting.
  • Ability to perform brush and roll painting on a variety of surfaces.
  • Ability to cut in without using tape while maintaining clean, straight lines.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and perform airless spraying techniques.
  • Capability to use HVLP airless sprayers on large industrial projects.
  • Experience working on industrial or commercial painting projects is preferred.
  • Reliability in traveling to various job sites within approximately a 40-mile radius.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a painting crew and follow directions on site.

Work Environment

Dress code is casual and practical, typically jeans and a t-shirt or traditional painter whites.

Painters travel from their home to job sites within roughly a 40-mile radius; examples include travel between communities such as Appleton, Green Bay, and Oshkosh. All travel is local, with no overnight stays required. Worksites are vacant industrial and commercial facilities, and painters use brushes, rollers, and HVLP airless sprayers provided on site to complete the work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $40.00/hr.
