Commercial Appliance Technician

Performance Food Group is seeking a Commercial Appliance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment for our food service customers. In this field-based role, you'll perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on ovens, fryers, coolers, and related systems while maintaining safety and compliance standards. You'll interact directly with restaurant, healthcare, and retail customers, ensuring minimal downtime and excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment for food service customers.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and extend asset life.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues using schematics and test equipment.
• Document work performed, parts used, and time in a work order or CMMS system.
• Communicate repair status, recommendations, and safety concerns to customers and internal teams.
• Follow all safety, OSHA, and company procedures while working on customer sites.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, safe, and service-ready condition.
• Participate in on-call or emergency response rotations as required by business needs.
