Job Coach
A Job Coach provides vocational and programmatic support to program participants at community-based work sites and at VPI locations.
This position will be 20-30 hours a week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide job support to individuals.
- Assist individuals with reaching their goals.
- Help individuals in achieving independence and creating successful employment outcomes.
- Develop relationships with individuals, employers, other team members, and service providers.
- Transport clients to and from worksites.
Physical Demands:
Work performed includes sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, stooping, lifting/carrying (up to 50 pounds without assistance), pushing/pulling, reaching below shoulder level, and reaching overhead. Functions are considered light to moderate according to the US Bureau of Labor.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Related experience is preferred, but VPI is willing to train.
