Diesel Mechanic

Birchwood Transport is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team on 2nd shift in Kenosha County, WI!

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing Birchwood Transport’s fleet in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This role includes routine maintenance, service work, and repairs on tractors, trailers, reefer units, and related equipment, ensuring all equipment meets Birchwood Transport and DOT standards.

• Perform repairs and maintenance on fleet equipment in a timely and safe manner
• Conduct routine servicing and inspections of tractors, trailers, and reefer units
• Ensure all equipment meets Birchwood Transport specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Complete required documentation and inspections accurately
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Minimum 1 year of experience in semi-tractor maintenance and repair, or a combination of education and experience
• DOT Certified in FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic computer skills and comfort working with digital systems
• Must provide own tools
• Strong attention to safety and detail

• Monday–Friday: 2:30 PM to shift end (approximately 11:00 PM)
• Every other Saturday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
