Hajoca Corporation is a privately‑held wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Founded in 1858, the company operates a decentralized network of Profit Centers, each managed as a small business.
About the Role:- Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
- Stock and maintain the warehouse; pick, document, and pack customer orders according to company policy.
- Act with high attention to detail to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork.
- Identify non‑stock, special‑order, and damaged material and store in proper locations.
- Complete documentation for customer shipments delivered via third‑party carrier.
- Load and unload trucks and operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
- Notify supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged merchandise that could impact service levels.
- Ensure security and controls are in place to protect assets.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety; remove debris and inform supervisor of safety issues.
- Assist co‑workers in servicing customers.
- Perform all job functions in accordance with company safety standards.
- Complete required safety and compliance training programs.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor and management.
- 1 year of warehouse receiving and material handling experience.
- Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred.
- Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co‑workers.
- Apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse environment.
- Learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Learn and operate the computer‑related systems used for warehouse operations.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
