Hajoca Corporation is a privately‑held wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Founded in 1858, the company operates a decentralized network of Profit Centers, each managed as a small business.

About the Role:
  • Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stock and maintain the warehouse; pick, document, and pack customer orders according to company policy.
  • Act with high attention to detail to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork.
  • Identify non‑stock, special‑order, and damaged material and store in proper locations.
  • Complete documentation for customer shipments delivered via third‑party carrier.
  • Load and unload trucks and operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Notify supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged merchandise that could impact service levels.
  • Ensure security and controls are in place to protect assets.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety; remove debris and inform supervisor of safety issues.
  • Assist co‑workers in servicing customers.
  • Perform all job functions in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training programs.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor and management.
About You:
  • 1 year of warehouse receiving and material handling experience.
  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred.

  • Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co‑workers.
  • Apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse environment.
  • Learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Learn and operate the computer‑related systems used for warehouse operations.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
