Central Office Secretary II, 12 month
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2.
Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, preferred
3. Previous office support work
4. Ability and willingness to work before or after hours as needed
5. Skills in organization, communication, problem solving, multi-tasking, dealing effectively and professionally with the public and employees
6. Possess and demonstrate high ethical standards, accountability, and integrity and ensure compliance with ACS policies and procedures

Required:
(HB 402 ACT 99-361 Alabama Legislature) Upon offer of employment, employees will be required to submit legible fingerprints for a background review by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Essential Duties:
1. Assists with, updates, edits and reports data related to certified personnel with certificates, including those new and expiring.
2. Maintains official Board meeting records and other system records for compliance with established rules and procedures.
3. Communicate effectively and manages office communication processes as directed.
4. Assists with maintaining ACS personnel files for all employees.
5. Assists with inquiries, verifications and requests for information related to personnel files and the Board to respond in a timely and accurate manner.
6. Maintains school vehicle reservation calendar.
7. Participates in personnel onboarding and substitute recruitment.
8. Reports potential problems, unusual events or work irregularities to appropriate administrative or supervisory personnel.
9. Maintains skill in district standard software.
10. Provides administrative support to colleagues and central office administrators, as needed.
11. Maintains confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.
12. Cooperates with auditors and provides information as requested.
13. Provides relief for the Receptionist function.
14. Possesses physical, emotional ability and dexterity as needed to perform work required in a fast pace intensive work environment. Plans and accomplishes work within limited time periods.
15. Follow school system rules, procedures, Board policies, State and Federal rules and regulations.
16. Engages in professional growth, demonstrates professional ethics and leadership.
17. Shows initiative and demonstrates cooperative spirit.
18. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Contract Period: 240 Days
Salary Range:
Salary schedule depending on experience
