CNC Machinist

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions seeks a CNC Machinist to produce precision orthopedic implants and instruments in a high-tech, regulated environment. You will set up, operate, and adjust multi-axis CNC machines, interpret blueprints and GD&T, and verify critical dimensions using advanced inspection tools. Partner closely with engineering and quality to troubleshoot issues, optimize machining parameters, and uphold strict medical device and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust CNC mills/lathes to produce orthopedic components to specification
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T for tight-tolerance features
• Perform in-process and final inspection using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM as applicable
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make offset/tooling adjustments
• Maintain documentation and records in compliance with medical device and ISO quality systems
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to resolve nonconformances and improve processes
• Support continuous improvement, 5
• S, and lean manufacturing initiatives on the shop floor
• Perform basic machine maintenance, tool changes, and housekeeping to ensure safe operations
