Position: Operations Tech I

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking an Operations Tech I, Finishing to support precision manufacturing of orthopedic implants and instruments. In this role, you will operate and monitor finishing equipment such as deburring, polishing, blasting, and cleaning machines to meet tight medical device specifications. You will inspect parts using gauges and basic measurement tools, record production and quality data, and follow detailed work instructions and ISO/FDA requirements.

The role also supports basic machine changeovers, routine maintenance, 5S, and continuous improvement activities in a safe, clean, and team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate finishing equipment for deburring, polishing, blasting, and cleaning orthopedic components
  • Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and basic measurement tools to verify specifications
  • Follow detailed work instructions, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements (ISO/FDA)
  • Record production, inspection, and quality data accurately in logs or systems
  • Perform basic machine setups, changeovers, and routine preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5
  • S practices
  • Identify and communicate quality or equipment issues to leads or supervisors
  • Support continuous improvement, lean, and process optimization initiatives
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production schedules
  • Handle parts carefully to prevent damage and ensure traceability
