We are a small originally German mission organisation founded in 1900. Currently the team is made up of approximately 200 local people with the support and partnership of about 20 expatriates. The organisation has a hospital and clinics where they serve the community with health services and train doctors and nurses.
The pastor will be focused on pastoral care for our community of about 30 expats who are serving God in this town and 15 children. This would primarily involve taking responsibility for the international service held on Sundays leading one or two Bible studies during the week and being available for pastoral care throughout the week. If the pastor is interested there could be additional opportunities to serve the local churches and various ministries of the mission organisation as well as protected time for Arabic language study.
You will have at least two years of formal theological training and be fluent in English. You will have the ability to serve in a cross-cultural inter-denominational setting and be ready to adapt to the local culture including in dress and habits. You will have your own support system which will provide spiritual financial and emotional support.
Interserve is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children.
